A couple years back my office purchased a 17" flat panel display by Acer for one of our PCs. It worked for a few weeks and then just stopped (after a reboot, it would not bring up the display again). All that would happen after that was the Acer logo would fade on and off and, occasionally, a message saying "No Signal Input". Acer would not take the display back as it had passed warranty so I took it home and have been hoping there is a fixable solution. It would be nice to make this all-but-brand-new monitor actually work (especially since I basically got it free).

I have tried it on several different PCs and even tried switching the monitor cable itself, all with the same results. When I opt for different screen resolutions or display options, the screen flickers but I never see a Windows desktop. Only the Acer logo fading on and off and the occasional "No Signal Input".

Has anyone run into this problem before and it is something I can fix myself? Or should I just send this device out to the scrap pile?

Thanks for any advice you could suggest. :)
