I just bought it in store at bestbuy the model is. Toshiba satellite A505-S6965. I cant find any other deal that can touch this one

Over all it's a good spec from a big brand .(only if the HD was 7200RPM).

If its not too expensive extend the warranty 2 years.

Also there are lots of third party softwares installed on Toshiba (and other brands) which slows down the system, so you have to go through them and unistall most of them.

Have you considered testing Windows 7 on it? (remember to burn 2 copies of recovery image to DVD disks before you do this, just in case you accidentally delete the partion)

good to know. I just ordered my free windows 7 upgrade. it toshiba says they will ship it 0-60 days after it is released.
