Im an artist who needs accurate color. I own an EPSON R200 printer which gives me exactly the color i want. Looks great every time.
I decided to buy an EPSON R1800 for $500 at Frys so i could print larger 19x13 inch artwork. However, the R1800 is so inaccurate at color and contrast. I have spent countless hours and days with every single peace i try to print, - manually adjusting the color so i can hope to print something that resembles the original. It seems the default print settings - everything comes out way too light and too blueish. I end up going threw no less than 5 print outs doing tests to get the colors right each time. wasting Ink and paper. (and Epson rips you off on ink to begin with).
With my R200 it prints almost Exactly what i see on my monitor each time and i love it. Im using an Apple cinema display b/c i heard they have best color reproduction of all monitors. Can anyone tell me why my R1800 cant match my R200. Becasue if i cant fix it im going to sell it.
