I am moving to another country from the US in airplane, I want to bring my widescreen monitor (ViewSonic VX1940w 1680x1050) with me .

The flight is going to be about 8 hours.

I was wondering if I can get some inputs on what's the best way to bring the monitor with me. I was thinking in wrapping it in bubble wraps. I don't want to bring the box separately. I am bringing two suitcases with me, and I want to fit my monitor in one of those.

You think if I wrap the monitor tightly in bubble wraps it would get damaged? I'll miss the monitor if I leave it here, in my country they are like 50% more expensive.

Please advise,

Thanks...

The best thing would be to put it into its own box. Since you can't do that though put bubble wrap around it (more than 1 layer) and put it between clothes inside a hard suitcase. Should be OK.
