Purchasing a gaming laptop...need help!

I am looking to purchase a desktop replacement within the next two weeks. Primarily, it will be a gaming laptop. I've been out of the gaming world for quite a bit of time and I am looking to purchase a laptop that will hold its own gaming wise without breaking the piggy bank.

1_What is your budget? $1k to $1800

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? dont really have a preference

3_What screen resolution do you want? at least 1680 X 1050

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? desktop replacement laptop

5_How much battery life do you need? Doesnt really matter, I would always have somewhere to plug the computer.

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? Everquest 2 and WoW.

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, surfing the web, playing music, watching movies, Etc.) surfing the web, some school work....

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need? more than 250GB

9_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post the links to them. I thought about purchasing from Alienware and Dell...but really considering Sager and ASUS

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop? 2 years

11_If you would like to mention some other things about purchasing your ideal laptop, post them.

12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

I just want something that I would be able to get repaired (if it breaks) without having to get the queen of england's blessing and permission... warranty and reliability are essential since im not extremely comptuter savvy.

Unfortunately, HP doesn't come close to offer the amount of performance/$ the above mentioned Sager and Asus do. Honestly, neither does Alienware.

What are you talking about? Sager's don't use parts that are any different than what any other system uses; CPUs, RAM, HDDs, etc. Any of those parts that you can find on newegg.com, will work just fine. I got a 1 year warranty on my Sager (now over 2 years old), had the screen hinge break and was able to get a replacement FROM THEM in under 2 weeks. Sorry, but you get a big:
