What is a difference between 1080i upconversion and 1080p upconversion. I am trying to buy a Blu-Ray AV Receiver, and there are 2 models, one has 1080i upconversion, and the other is labeled as 1080p upconversion. Any help ?

Are you talking about a receiver or blu-ray player?

The 1080p is the standard at this time for blu-ray player. The 1080i is below the 1080p in the upconversion scale.
Get the 1080 P.
