I cant understand this at all. I had tested this out before I bought it for a good 15 minutes and it was running perfectly in xp.
I take it home boot it up and I get a black screen that just stays there forever. I start it again and I'm told it cant load windows and I get some kind of error code.
So I try and find one of my old os discs and all I found was windows 98 starts here, I put it in boot from the CD rom but than I see the bottom screen have a loading bar that goes 1/4 the way through than just hits a wall and never moves any further.... WTF just happened here? How could this be perfect at the guys house I bought it and now it's not booting to anything, can someone explain this to me?
It seems this windows starts here disc is not a bootable disc. So am I going to have to buy a xp disc to get this sorted out? Most of the stuff I read online involves booting from a boot disc.
I get this error everytime as well that I forgot to mention in my original post.
system32/drivers/ntfs.sys
Also I had plugged a ethernet cable while I turned the system on, could this of caused the problem? The system actually did boot up for a few seconds than suddenly shut down, and I never been able to boot up since. I tried everything from booting in safe mode, safe mode and pretty much all the options in Advance area of bios.
Anyone, please, did I buy myself a lemon, surely this is just software related right?
