Synergy V Universal Remote Control and Marantz Receiver SR7300

I am attempting to control a Marantz AV Surround Receiver SR7300 using the Synergy V universal remote control. The programming codes that I was given do not work. In addition, I attempted to use the "point and aim" functionality of the universal remote but it could not find a code for controlling the receiver. Does anyone know the code that should be used or does anyone have any ideas as to why this will not work?

I'm afraid that my own experience with a universal remote was similar.

Perhaps a better one would allow you to download codes over the internet -- but bearing in mind that these products are most popular for TV sets you may have trouble finding one which will help you with more specialist AV equipment.
