Hey, so i'm going off to college in a few weeks and I need a laptop or a notebook. I have a budget $999.99 that can't be broken. I'm going to be getting into engineering, however, i'm not entirely sure if that means i'll need to be running programs on my comp.

1. Budget:

$999.99 (can't meet or exceed $1000) However, the cheaper the better.

3_What screen resolution do you want?

I'm looking for something smallerish, like no bigger than 15".

4_Do you need a desktop replacement laptop?

No

5_How much battery life do you need?

A good amount.

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop?

Nope, I'm bringing a desktop that will cover my gaming :)

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop?

Taking notes in class, maybe running some engineering programs. Some photoshop (depending on how good the screen is). Music. Possibly some movies. Obviously web surfing.

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?

Storage isn't a huge deal. I'm using my desktop as a home port, so i'll probably be transferring things back and forth.

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop?

As long as possible.

13_What country do you live in?

USA

So should I be saving a little for upgrades too?

Thanks!
