So I'm in the market of buying a decent 5.1 speakers around 100-250 range.
I'll be using them mostly for gaming with some music and movies on my ps3 and pc. I already have a few selections..
I was leaning towards z5500 before I saw the Onkyo and Pioneer sets at newegg but I'm not pretty sure if I can get a 5.1 surround using my ps3 with above selections. I notice they all have opticals but I just want to make sure. I don't have any experience to any of this product neither having a 5.1 set.(always been a 2.1 guy) Would I be better buying a complete set or buy the components separately like getting a decent receiver with hdmi to get "full" surround sound w/o expanding my budget range? I'm no audio geek but I definitely prefer the better sound and just want the best bang for my buck. Any help and advice would much appreciated. Thank you
