My new acer asiper 5536 won't go into safe mode, I restart the pc, I press f8, it asks me what i want to boot into, i press safe mode, then it seems fine, but then the screen goes black, the only thing i see the the enormous 800*600 resolution mouse cursor. Then it shuts down, and starts back up in normal mode... What should I do?

Actually I just contacted Acer and read a thread on a different forum saying that there is a fix for this, I believe it is a BIOS flash, I'll wait and see what customer support says.

well, i contacted Acer, they gave me the link so I could flash my BIOS, I flashed my BIOS, and now it's still the same. Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it? I would really appreicate some help because acer customer support isn't helping.

flashing bios doesnt do ***, you need to insert an operating system disk that matches the one you have and repair it "press r when it tells you"
