No jpg files opening

every picture stored in my computer is not opening, when i try to open pics then win (7) says
"windows cannot access the specified device,path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"
Is I'm victim of virus, or window is corrupted??

You should run a malware and a virus scan. First and foremost, update your scanners first.

ok,, doing

Right click the file in windows explorer, go to "Open With" and seclect the appropriate program, and select "always open with this program" and select okay. It sounds like a shell association was lost or damaged.

it was damn virus that caused much problem to my pc,, after scanning with Norton i got rid of it,, thanks u all for support
