Help: Home PC: MANY IE and IM windows open simultaneously

Hello, My wife likes to have MANY(read more than 60, say) Internet Explorer and instant messaging windows open simultaneously. We tried a few $500 laptops with miserable results: system freezes or spontaneous restarts. We are considering buying a desktop, again with a limited budget. Please let us know if you have any recommendations or suggestions. Thanks very much!

60 is using a lot of your memory, try cutting down a lot of those windows maybe down to 10-20 if you really need that many
