I just bought an Asus M3A78 motherboard and installed the audio drivers that came with it. All installed with out a problem.
The jack sensing pics up all of my 7.1 speakers and the test function gets a response from them all. However when I play any music/video/game the front left+right and subwoofer are the only speakers that respond. Even with audio that I know has surround sound. If i activate the "speaker fill" option in the Via HD Audio panel, then the sound drops in quality & depth, and the sub stops altogether, and all the speakers play a softer, diluted weak version of what it is busy playing.
My old gigabyte motherboard and realtek drivers never gave this problem, they always played the audio in perfect surround if it was recorded as such, else it played a full high quality stereo version through each speaker.
Is there anyway by which I can load my old drivers to use with the new motherboard? or what can I do to solve this?
