i want to buy a digital camera , plz suggest me, which should i prefer to sony camera or canon digital camera within a range of 10,000.

I think you'll find most people can translate $US prices.

My own opinion is that it is pointless comparing Sony v Canon like that. Both make a wide range of models and there are plenty of good cameras from other companies.

I wouldn't buy without looking at Nikon or Fujifilm and the Olympus digital cameras I've had have been robust and pleasant to use.
