Dos batch programme cannot open a file windows 7

Hello,
I have an old dos batch file that takes strongs from the command prompt - inserts them into a file and then sorts the file.
In Windows 7 - access to the data file is being denied.
I am not logged in as adminstrator but have Administrator rights.
Data files re not read-only.
located in root rirectory

Try to disable UAC in windows 7 , and try again:


If for any reason running the .bat file does not reflect any changes that means that UAC feature is turned on in your Windows setting , please turn it off from.

Start --> Search\Run --> Change User Account Control settings --> set the slider to Never Notify. (bottom)

Or

Start --> Control Panel --> Action Center --> Change User Account Control settings --> set the slider to Never Notify. (bottom)

Start the command prompt in administaror mode. Right click cmd.exe and select run as administrator. Then run the batch file from within the command window.
