Windows logon

I have a compaq presario laptop v500. It uses windows xp home version. I have no restore disks.It all of a sudden is asking for a windows log on which i never had before. I can get to safe mode but it still asks for this password. I can't do a destructive recovery without a password for this windows log on password. I have tried clciking ok ad leaving the password empty.. How can I get pass this and just do a destructive recovery? Please help. Claudiad20@hotmail.com

download ophcrack iso, and boot the laptop w\ the cd.

it will tell you what the admin password is.
