Connecting a Laptop to a LCD TV via the HDMI - HELP

Hi There,

I have been connecting my laptop to a LCD TV via a HDMI cable, is it possible that the TV (or a program on it) can corrupt my operating system on my laptop? Both times I have connected it my operating system has crashed, I don't know if it can be due to windows installing drivers for the TV, or a program built in to the HDMI or if this is even possible.

The HDMI of your computer is only outputting data and cannot be used to receive data I believe. If the computer is crashing is probably because your drivers of your graphics card are causing the problem. Try to update them and then connect again.
