Probably can sell for about half of what it cost you. Unless you really need the money, you'd be better off keeping it if you are selling to buy a new one.

alright thanks i wanted to sell it because i have the amd fx 6100 and some games i cant play because i heard the fx series has some games that are not working for the cpu. i was thinking of selling it for a i5 2500k gaming pc. but u figured i would just sell the cpu and get the amd phenom ii x4 cpu. but thanks for replying.

You can't just swap out the CPU, you also need to get a new motherboard.

You should be able to play any game on any desktop CPU, have you tried? Games are usually slower on AMD CPUs than they are on Intel ones, but that does not mean that they won't work at all.

im more of a call of duty guy. but i dont really have the money to build a good battlefield pc. but my problem is mw3 for pc wont work because of the fx series and i dont want that to happen to the next cod thats coming out in november. i would love to purchase a new motherboard and cpu but i dont have a job so my one and only way is to sell it through ebay and craiglist.

That does not matter. Did you check for a BIOS update for yours?

yes and i downloaded it but it still does not work

Have you checked with support for the game? You should be able to just buy a different CPU for your system without selling the whole thing, maybe just sell the CPU on ebay.

i tryed selling it on ebay but no luck but i went to go check the gigabyte website today and noticed this link right here -> http://www.gigabyte.us/search/search.aspx?kw=970a-d3#pr... it shoes there is a rev 3.0 will this work with my mb for the bios or is it the latest rev 1.4 bios?

The revisions are for the motherboard itself, not the BIOS version.

You need to go to the Downloads section, and get the BIOS for your revision number there. The latest bios for your rev is you have 1.4 is F11.
