Need a LCD HDTV Gaming Monito: ~30" & <$1000

I'm building a new computer with dual HD 4870s so I'm going to buy a new monitor to complement them.
What I'm looking for is a LCD HDTV (that is, can double as an HDTV) monitor that's around 30 inches, has a resolution of at least 1920x1080 and is 1080p, has around a 5ms response time, and is less than $1000 (about $800 would be preferable).

These also look really nice, yet I'm concerned a 32" won't fit in my college dorm room. Plus they cost more ($350 more) than the 28" LCDs.

Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. I already have a 20" 1680x1020 monitor that I'll be using. The monitor I'm buying is just for games & TV.
