Advice on what I should be looking for ? New system

I am looking to replace a 7 year old HP Desktop with a new model.

I will be using this PC mainly for photos, Adobe photoshop, some basic arcade type games and web browsing. I will also have Micorsoft Office professional installed. I'll be running some simple access databases and somple spreadsheets.

I don't need a monitor, just a tower.

I'd like to keep it less than 900. I will hold onto this PC for a long time - so I don't mind buying more than I think I need.

Any advice ? I am very confused after researching for several days. I'm looking at an HP

For that kind of system you'll probably find one for just £/$400. 900 is a very large number for what can be considered office/home use.

Frankly any system that has at least a Core 2 duo, 2GB RAM and a Intel 4500 will do perfectly fine.

Thanks - then I don't really need to worry about the video card ? it won't make a difference with digital photography.

You should look at compaq presarios. They are fairly cheap.
