I couldn't find a better place to post this so hopefully I'm in the right forum for this one. Here's the deal...

I have a USB DAC (digital to analog converter) that works perfectly when hard wired. I now want to plug it into a wireless USB device, so I've installed a Belkin F5U301 4-port Wireless USB Hub. When I plug the DAC into the wireless USB device, Windows detects it and tries to install the drivers again. It fails, with a message about not being able to load the drivers. I can see it listed as "USB Audio Device" but it will not load the drivers and allow the device to function unless I use a USB cable directly from the computer to the DAC.

In the device properties tag I can see various drivers assigned to teh DAC so I don't understand why it won't work.

Is there a way to force Windows XP to load the drivers, or any other way to get around this problem?

This is the last detail of a long and difficult project. I really need to find a way to make this work. Help!!!
