Are heatspreaders worth the time and effort?
Do they actually keep your Ram cool?
Are they really needed?
What are the pros and cons?

I bought some at a good price, but if they don't help, I will sell them on eBay.

They are, "VANTEC Copper, Model DDR A1C, ICEBERG DDR Memory Heatspreader"

I do a lot of work with hugh graphics.

Just like Crashman said.. heatspreaders look good, and that's about all.

They do serve one other function: To hide the memory chips Also, the warranty is void if you remove them.

Whenever I see a Honda with a huge azz spoiler I always wonder if that guy is thinking, "Yeah... I'm pretty damn cool huh".

Yeah.. rice rockets are a growing nuisance in Southern California.

At least heatspreaders on memory look somewhat good.

Now if you put a spoiler on your memory modules... your still not that cool, but I'll give you an A for effort.

Dude, <b> ALL </b> kinds of peeps drive those things around here. Asian peeps, black peeps, white peeps, mexicans... The few serious strret racing types I know are all part of a local pony club though. Guess they love those mustangs.
