I can't get FireworksMX2004 to associate with png jpg gif etc.

I upgraded to FWMX2004 from FWMX and the upgrade left the MX application
installed which associated with those files.

I subsequently uninstalled MX but I can't get the MX2004 upgraded
application to associate with the files. When I go into Folder Options/File
Types it is not there as one of the progam options so I browse my hard disk
and locate the new fireworks.exe which is in Program
Files\Macromedia\FireworksMX2004\ click on it and it seems to accept it but
it doesn't.

Any advice appreciated.
