Deploying and would like to bring a netbook and gaming laptop with me.

I've been out of the loop for awhile and I am currently slated to deploy to Afghanistan. Being Infantry I won't have much time with my gaming laptop but would like to make most of the time I have with it. As for the netbook, I can burden the extra weight to carry it around with me on firebases.

Highly portable for the netbook and for the gaming laptop a desktop replacement.

5_How much battery life do you need?

The longer the better. I heard netbooks get great battery life. Battery life for a netbook would be priority.

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

For games on netbook will just be old classics for me, but for the gaming laptop I would like to play coming releases like Mass Effect 2 on highest settings possible because I will have a few days at a time with it.

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, surfing the web, playing music, watching movies, Etc.)

Watch movies and listen to music.

A long battery life and a good sized hard drive. Also there is sand and dust everywhere in the air in Afghanistan. I would like a laptop that can somewhat resist the natural elements, but if not would like some advice on how to deal with sand and dust in electronics.
