The $10 dollar printer Deal ?

I purchased a refurbished Canon A630 camera online @ 3:00am in the morning from the Big Box etailer. I failed to notice that for $9.99 more I could have a multifunction copier scanner colour printer from EPSON. Upon clicking the link the $9.99 printer was the CX7450 and beside it was the option of the CX8400 for another $30.00. I use an HP932C which is at least 7 years old. Is the offer worth jumping on since I am so out of touch with print technology the couple of years , I am aware of Epson using chips on the ink cartridges to rake up ink sales (and the work arounds). The appeal of the all in one and the LCD display for non computer setup for $30.00 more is tempting. Any suggestions on pitfalls and value considerations are welcome !
