i have an old gateway2000 laptop that can barely run windows 98, and i recently read http://www6.tomshardware.com/howto/20041113/index.html

and i was wondering if it was possible to use the laptops monitor, instead of buying a normal flat panel, and connect it to a normal desktop PC...

Thx.

You may be able to. That depends on how the laptop display gets its signal, and if it can be rewired to accept the input.

I don't know any details of what I just said, that pushed it over the "easy enough for a monkey" level that I wanted to deal with, so I didn't look any further.
