Hello all. As you can see, I am a newbie to this forum. I am also a newbie when it comes to computer art. I am an artist by lifestyle but not employment. I love to paint, draw, carve, etc. Unfortunately, my current living space doesn't allow for the painting or carving, and I would rather draw right onto my computer than onto a piece of paper which I then have to scan.

So, after having said all of that, I can't decide between the Wacom Cintiq 12wx or Bosto Kingtee 14wa. wacom’s products is famous, but also have some bad comment in the internet, such as the acrylic cover surface, easy to scratch and old model, 14wa is good in specification, but not much people know this brand

Hopefully you will assist providing me with the guidance I so desperately need.

More about : wacom cintiq 12wx bosto kingtee 14wa

Hi David

Here is some frank feedback from a 14WA user that will help to inform your decision:

The good~

  • Very light weight tablet and pen
  • Tablet doesn't get hot (my cintiq got uncomfortably warm)
  • No cable clutter
  • A pen slot inside the tablet (like in the Samsung note 10.1) and tablet case and cleaning cloth
  • Nice big 14 inch screen
  • An hdmi connection
  • Anti scratch/pen resistance cover, so it didn't feel like I was drawing on glass, drawing felt very natural.

  • The bad~

    • Low res screen
    • No tilt sensitivity
    • Bad viewing angles
    • Drivers are a bit confusing and it took a while to get everything working correctly.
    • I have read that the tablet doesn't support Windows 8 (yet)

  • In the end I am very happy with my purchase. I would argue the most important thing about a drawing tablet, is that it has to be comfortable to DRAW on. The developers did a amazing job achieving that.

  • I hope you find this useful, and for full specifications you might like to visit www.bosto.co.
