I am building my first computer and I left about 350 dollars aside for an audio setup. I guess 5.1, but I don't know much else. The mobo is going to be an Asus P6T Deluxe v2. Do I need a better sound card? What are good brands for the speakers? Any help is appreciated.
Hey Duque, I personally think motherboard sound technology is quite stellar these days, and you are pretty darn certain to get updated drivers if you ever decide to upgrade operating systems.
As for the surround sound speakers for $350 or less, I have a slight bias towards Logitech. I just really like the way they sound and look, and Logitech (in my experience) has always had very good support for their products.
