LG 42PQ30 problems

hello i purchased this tv on the 6th, it arrived 12th and left side of the tv is a line of the screen that is like clear and no picture shows up on it, above the tv is a black line which looks like a burn in but the tv has only watched 2 movies in a two day peroid with the zoom feature on so the black bars of widescreen dont show. will the place i purchased from "buydig.com" refund my money or exchange tv and pay for shipping both ways? or will lg do the same? lg is sending a technician next week they said they will only repair/replace if its the tv fault and not mine, its not mine but would they replace for this small problem?
