im looking for a new laptop,i work all over the country and as such need a laptop but i am also a gamer so it needs to be cutting edge am currently looking at a 18.4inch quad core with two gtx 280m in sli or a 17 inch i7 extreme 975 with one gtx 280m any ideas which is the better for gaming? or any better alternatives? not looking for battery life or budget.

Looks like you found Clevo's top 2 models.

The one with dual GPUs will unquestionably be better for gaming. The one with the i7 will be better in more CPU-heavy work applications (for example, HD video editing).

^Agreed. The 2nd GPU will make a larger difference than the i7 will. And I would shoot for a faster Quad than the 2.00ghz Q9000.
