i found at ebay an awesome deal:
1x 256*2 corsair xms pc3200, twinx512-3200c2pt (platinum heat spreader)
1x 256*2 corsiar xms pc3200, twinx512-3200c2 (black heat spreader)
they are rated at a latency of 2-3-3-6. i'm sure i'll be able to do 2-2-2-5 @ ddr400.
and that's not all, the seller included a seagate 120gb, not sure if it's ata or sata, but i don' really care cause the price was so good: 119$
can't wait! you can check the price of these memory kits at newegg and you'll be amazed.

Using 4 modules, your system will clock the RAM down to 333. :/

You can get them to run at 400Mhz, but there is no guarantee of stability - it's an OC at that point. I'm not saying that you shouldn't get them/can't clock them like that. Just wanted to let you know there is no guarantee.

2-3-2-5 is very good too! just one clock more.
If the person selling them quoted them at a lower timming than they are rated then I would be afraid to buy them based on that alone. To many crooks on E-bay. Im curious about why you would post about an ongoing auction that was a great deal if you were plannng on bidding on them. Wouldnt that possibly add more bidders to the pool? Your not the same person that was selling the RAM are you?

well i got these modules, but they aren't stale at pc3200.
they can do 2-2-2-5 at pc2700 though.
with only 2x256 i can run them at 220fsb + with no problems
maybe my old 330w psu is stressed when running 4 modules at pc3200 ?

ok now i'm all set. i can run them at 200mhz when 2t command is enabled. this command doesn't make a difference or maybe a very minor difference.
