poor planning has left us with 250mb of space on our servers "C" drive. the physical disk has 2 partitions on it, c and d. is there a way to increase this? the "D" drive has ~40gb extra space. I was thinking about taking another disk and formatting a 20gb partition on it and ghosting partition to partition? would that work?

thanks

I would take an image of the servers hard disk w/ ghost (or copy to another drive depending on what version of ghost you have) then try partition magic. If partition magic fails you will have something to fall back onto and you can resize the partitions too.

Partition Magic can extend and manage your partitions with no problems at all, as a matter of fact I just did exactly that last night, it worked great no problems and everything is running good.

Hm... Server is quite a bit different from pro. I guess it is different enough. Looks like it is time to take the ghost approach. I highly recommend ghost corprate due to its ability to take/dump an image over the network. It is a techs best friend.
