Currently building my dream computer while not ignoring the "Price -VS- Performance" factor...
So far I have:
-----------------------
Thermaltake Armor Case
Antec True-Power 1000W PSU
Asus P5E Deluxe Motherboard
Q9450 Quad Core @ 3.2 GHz, 1600MHz FSB (400X8)
Zalman 9700 LED HSF attached with Arctic Silver 5
ATI HD4870 Radeon
Creative Inspire P7800 7.1 Dolby Digital Speaker system
WD 640GB HD on a Serial ATA 3GB/Sec Interface
Asus Lightscribe CD-R/DVD Burner
-----------------------
I have a few more things to purchase for the machine. Another 640GB Hard Drive. Two 320 GB Hard Drives. A second HD4870, etc, etc...
Next paycheck I will use to buy the HD4870. The money left over on that check will be saved and added to the following paycheck. Then I will be buying a new monitor.
-----------------------
I am currently using an OLD Nec MultiSync 95 19" CRT monitor. It's a good work horse but I want an LCD Widescreen for gaming.
I pretty much have my mind set on a 28" monitor. I see several of them on Newegg.com with great reviews from gamers.
However, after reading a few forum threads here at Tom's Hardware... You guys don't seem to like the 28" monitors.
