I have been using the Palm Zire 71 for over a year now with no
problems. I love it! But all of a sudden in the last couple of
weeks, it has suddenly developed a strange problem with losing all
power. For example, I just charged it 3 days ago and have hardly used
it since. Last night I checked the battery level and it was still
showing full charge. But this morning, it was so dead I could not
turn it on, or reset it. I now have to give it a good long charge,
then hot sync it because when it comes back on it has been hard set
back to zero memory.
Any one else have this problem with Palm or any other similar device?
Perhaps the battery is dying and not taking a charge correctly?
Perhaps something is draining the power that I don't realize? Help!

Perhaps the battery indicator needs calibrating. Try doing a soft reset
while it's on the cradle.
