I have a HP Pavilion notebook with Geforce GO 7600 (512MB VRAM).
Some days back I started having the nv4_disp and infinite loop problems with my laptop. Tried everything like install/uninstall/try multiple drivers/etc.

Now I want to flash the video bios as my final effort before giving up.

I tried using NVFLASH. But when i gave the command

nvflash -b old.rom

EEPROM ERROR occured
DEVICE ID (20,0000)

nvflash somehow is not being able to recognise my video chip.

Any ideas as to what can be done ??

nvflash is really a desktop application - it's possible it does not recognize notebook cards.
