well I am about to try and return my Samsung 160GB HDD to Samsung. I think I just need some closure though 
I ran the HUTIL diagnostic program they give on their website. Every test passes except for "Simple Read/Write" - and it said by it "Unrepairable data" or something.
And then when I tried to do a full surface scan it was giving me errors every single byte it seems and basically the prograss percent wasn't moving anywhere because of it (stalled at around 2.124%).
LBA Errors scrolling down my screen non-stop on that scan mean its done for right?
It doesn't even show up in My Computer as a drive, but it shows up in the Device Manager as working fine.
