I've read lot on this matter. Many say it's a mess many more say there's no issue. I'm going to buy a new I7 system but I'm going to maintain the single thing that's worth in my old PC and that is my X-Fi Extreme Music.
I ran the Windows Upgrade Advisor to see what it would say and the answer wasn't definitive, it said something like "it might be but you have to look it up somewhere else". So my question is this, are the 64bit drivers for the X-Fi Extreme Audio already rock solid and the known "EAX gone stereo" stuff resolved with the Alchemy program that Creative put out or I'm still in for a couple of headaches putting this to work the right way?
BTW the soundcard is plain PCI as my old PC is in fact OLD!
