My hdtv sound is popping
Last response: in Home Theatre
The sound on my magnavox HDTV is popping, then I lose the sound occasionally, and once in a while I lose the picture and get a NO SIGNAL. When I turn off the DIRECTV unit and TV and back on it is ok for a while and seems to repeat. Is it a problem with the TV, the Directv receiver, the HDMI cable?

Could be any of those.Narrow it down by switching out DirectTV and the HDMI cable for a while. If you still get the problem without either of them hooked up, it's the TV.
Thank you. I just switched out the HDMI cable, the easiest of the choices, and will wait and see. Directv would be next. Either of these would obviously be preferable to the TV. Thank you again
