What would you prefer?

DELL's "Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4Ghz Processor with 6GB DDR2 RAM
OR

"Intel Core i7-720QM Proccesor with 4GB DDR3 RAM" ??

I use this laptop for high end music recording.

If you don't mind a lack of battery life, the i7 will be better.
