I am looking at 22" monitors. If I go witht he 22" and the native resolution is 1680 x 1050, then would my games always play at 1680 x 1050 max or could I up the resolution of the game? It wouldn't seem to be possible to play a game more then 1680 x 1050 if that is the max resolution of the LCD, but I really dont' know about LCD's because I have always had CRD's.
Thanks for the reply. I was beggining to think that no one was going to respond. Any thoughts on GPU's... Right now I have a 3870, but it seems that with no more then 1680 X 1050 max resolution, there really isn't any reason to up that.
If you play FPS games then I don't know what frame rate and graphix quality is acceptable to you. Therefore, it's best to tryout your Radeon 3870 first before buying another GPU.
I can play Crysis with my Radeon 1900XT 512MB @ 1920 x 1200 resolution using medium graphics quality on DX9 with no problems until the end of the final battle when frame rates drops are noticeable. Then again my style of play is stealth, not run in with guns blazing and explosions left and right.
