I've connected my wd hd media player via hdmi to my lcd but i'm still not getting any sound from my built in speakers when i'm playing movies with dts sound. I have also tried RCA composite cables but still no luck and changed the media player and tv's audio settings. I am aware that this media player is incapable of decoding dts.

Does this mean that i would have to get speakers with digital output? My budget is kinda tight, so i want to put 5.1 speakers as my last option. How about 2.1 speakers that have built in dts decoder? any speakers out there with this feature?

I've got an altec lansing 4121 which i have been using for my pc, but i haven't been playing games and listening to music with the pc. Thought of using this to connect to my lcd tv. What do i need to connect my 2.1 speakers to the tv? digital decoder?

Hope to hear from you guys out there, in need of help!
