Hi, I'm wondering if anyone knows how keyboard latency or response time is measured?

Gaming keyboards such as the steelseries 7g and razer tarantula claim to have an extremely low response time, and i'm wondering how they come up with these values. I'd like to run a test myself and compare them to a generic keyboard.

that would be greatly appreciated if u don't mind b/c the 7g is very expensive and I am trying to figure out exactly how good it actually is.

ABS M1 Heavy Duty Professional Gaming Mechanical Keyboard

looked extremely promising at $69 or was it $59, and looked pretty good, but I think they were all discontinued right away, and last i spoke with ABS they are fixing them and will notify upon release of a revised edition.

another mechanical keyboard I found was the daskeyboard,
