^First off, it's partially wrong. The T7200 runs at 2.00ghz, I should know since I own one.

The 1.83 (or 2.00 as it should be) means the speed of the processor. Generally the higher the speed, the faster the processor.

T7200 is the specific model of the processor.

Core2Duo is the series of processor (like Pentium 4, Pentium M, Celeron, etc)
