i am looking for wi-fi,i don,t know if i have it

Do you have a wireless router? Or do you mean that you know you have one, but you aren't sure if it is working?

As-in: you don't know if your computer has WiFi abilities?

If that's the case: open Control Panel > go to Device Manager > and expand the Network Adapters list. What devices are listed there?

As long as you're connected to wifi, yes. It shows as a glowing green dot when not connected; if no drivers are installed for it though, that icon won't appear at all.
