I have a brand new dell studio 15 laptop, all the keys on the keyboard stop working when the computer is on for a while. Would this be caused of a loose PS/2 port?

Your Dell notebook is not equipped with a PS/2 port - those ports are aged now, and are not used in newer computers.

It's more than likely a software problem. Does the problem persist when you plug in an external keyboard or use a different OS (such as a live Linux distribution)?
