Canon powershot SX20 locked memory card

I havde a Canon SX20 and the message is that the memory card is locked - can't figure our how to unlock the memory card - can anyone help?

Presumably SD. Look for a small lever on the card -- this write protects the card.

Hi, My mother had the same problem and on the memory card there is a white plastic sliding notch on the left side of the memory card. You just push that up and that unlocks the card. In fact it says lock on the front of the memory card, but it is so small that it is hard to see, but it is there. Some time when you or someone has put it in the camera it was moved. I felt so stupid when I seen that it was in the locked position. I think that is so no one can delete or format the memory card. Dale
