I am looking at putting together a CHEAP... yet decent... gaming rig, as a secondary computer for LAN play, upgrading some old parts.
I will be getting an Athlon64 3000 socket 754 on the MSI K8N Neo3-F mobo (Does not support dual channel memory since its socket 754), and am looking at this RAM:

Which is Corsair ValueSelect Pc3200 unbuffered (2x512mb) - LIFETIME warranty.
What do you think of this RAM? Normally I stay away from value and have never had it, but this is a secondary comp and I need to go cheap... so will this be ok? what are the effects of having Value RAM in a computer? I will NOT be overclocking.
Also, what is the difference between registered and unbuffered RAM?
P4c 3.2Ghz @ 800MHz Northwood / ABIT AI7 / 1GB Corsair XMS-Pro CL2 Pc3200 / 160GB Seagate SATA 7200rpm 8mb cache / BFG-Tech Nvidia GeForce 6800GT 256mb / Antec Sonata case w/Antec TruePower 380W PSU
