Forum Computer Brands : Dell Uhh, my dell demension e520 needs help, and so do I.

Ok for a while now my dell has always been one to act up, but now i can't seem to find out what's wrong with it.
all cabels are plugged in, and all that happens is the sound of the fan from hell starting, and the annoying amber light.
I tried to check for diagnostic numbers but all four glow amber, and there are no beep sounds from the computer.
it just stays there and fan.
please, please help me

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but sounds like you have the same problem as reported by many on this thread for the Dell 8400 - a very similar system:

It seems different fixes workded for different people with no clear single cause or fix.
