can someone plse help me. i have two computers that are running winxp
home edition. what i want to know how can i get remote desktop
connection running. i have set up a small home network and can see the
other computer on the network. so any suggestion are welcome.

You will have to go with a third party solution for remote desktop. The
remote desktop that is built into XP requires for the computer that is being
remotely accessed to have XP Pro.

Hi Marty,
Remote Desktop is available only in Windows XP Pro. The host machine has to be running Windows XP
Pro. The guest/client machine can be running Windows XP home though.

You carnt use windows’s remote desktop with home editon, how ever
this dosnt stop you from using RealVNC, Ultr@VNC or TightVNC.
